Money within the Black community is commonly referred to by several experts as 'Liquid Gold'. As soon as we get any money, it practically melts out of our hands and back into the hands of others within the dominant society. According to the federalreserve.gov 2019 survey, the Median Net Worth of White families are $188,200; whereas the Median Net Worth of Black families are $24,100. Furthermore, the 2020 article in ‘The Famuan’ indicated that the average lifespan of the dollar circulates 28 days in the Asian communities, 19 days in the Jewish communities, 17 days in white communities, and only six hours within the Black communities. With that being said, our Financial Literacy experts plan to reverse course on these dreadful financial practices, and lead us on how to properly save, invest, purchase, and have the right life insurance to help sustain and generate financial freedoms and legacies for generations.
